10 Effective Home Remedies To Stop Vomiting During Pregnancy

Vomiting can take off your energy and leaves you in a miserable state, the scene is even worse during pregnancy. Vomit is common during pregnancy, but there are ways to reduce it. Read on to follow the best and super- easy home remedies for vomiting in pregnancy.

Hydrate: As puking dehydrates the person, sipping water in regular intervals of time make a lot of difference. Intake of sufficient water flushes the harmful toxins out of the body and stop vomiting. Studies proved that drinking water clears 90% of the health issues, apart from vomiting sickness.

Mint: Chewing fresh mint leaves whenever getting sensed or about to vomit will help the lady in sickness issues. The menthol flavour in it soothes the stomach and avoids further occurrences of vomiting.

Ginger Ale: Ginger has an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties by nature and it is one of the best herbal medicines to cure any disease. The smell or the flavour itself helps to get out of the nausea. Prepare a can full of ginger ale solution and take few sips throughout the day.

Baking Soda: Yeah, you read it right!! Baking soda neutralizes the acids that have risen during and after vomiting. Rinse your mouth with the solution to get rid of after taste of puking.

Rice Water: This is a tip from the older generation. Let the rice water gets warm and sip it slowly to notice instant result.

Warm milk: Soak a toast in warm milk and eat it to ease vomiting. There is no scientific proof to support the efficacy of this remedy, however, it is the most recommended home remedy for immediate reaction.

Aniseed: It is what we take after a heavy dinner for fast digestion. It stops vomiting by taking one cup aniseed tea in a day. It has many medicinal values which relieves pain and convulsions that accompany vomiting.

Aromatherapy: People who are other than pregnant can also try the therapy with essential oils. However, lavender and peppermint oils works better to the morning sickness and nausea. Put a few drops of these flavoured oils in the diffuser and inhale the vapours. Spraying them to your handkerchief also works in a better way.

Wheat germ: Wheat germ is a family of wheat; they are the left out particles when wheat is processed to flour. This nutrient-rich also cures menses pains and symptoms such as dizziness and nausea. Dissolve one teaspoon of wheat germ in warm milk and keep it for one hour. Consume it twice a day to reduce morning sickness. It is suggestable to take it upon doctor’s advice because it may cause allergy for some which irritates the digestive tract.

Acupressure: Get to know your pressure points to reduce the illness. Keep three fingers of your right hand on your left wrist and rub it in circular motion for a few minutes. Repeat it with the other hand. Acupressure wrist bands are also available in the market.

Besides these, lemon, onion juice, cumin etc., can also be added to the list of home remedies for morning sickness during pregnancy.
